Itinerary in Detail

Day 1 | Arrival to Buenos Aires, Argentina

Arrival Reception at Ezeiza International Airport followed by transfer to your hotel. In the afternoon, embark on a captivating half-day city tour of Buenos Aires, spanning approximately 4 hours of sightseeing.  Explore the heart of Buenos Aires as we navigate through its historic streets and expansive avenues that reflect the city’s modern development. Along the iconic 9 de Julio Avenue, behold the majestic Colon Theater and the renowned “Obelisco.”  Venture to the historic Plaza de Mayo, where landmarks such as the Casa Rosada (Pink House), housing the iconic balcony where Evita Perón addressed the masses, the Cathedral with the mausoleum of General San Martín, and the Cabildo (Town Hall) await our exploration.  Continuing along May Avenue, linking Plaza de Mayo to the Congress, revel in the architectural splendor of Art Nouveau buildings, historic hotels, theaters, and cafes.  Our journey leads us to San Telmo, a vibrant neighborhood adorned with cobblestone streets, artist studios, and antique shops. Traverse Dorrego Square, is renowned for its bustling Sunday antique fair.  Immerse yourself in the vibrant colors of La Boca, characterized by its picturesque tenements and the iconic Caminito street, where artists showcase their work.  Next, we visit Puerto Madero, a revitalized port area transformed into a chic residential and dining hub in the 1990s. Explore its contemporary architecture, upscale restaurants, and scenic waterfront.  Continuing north, we pause at San Martín Square, surrounded by elegant French-style buildings in one of Buenos Aires’ most distinguished areas.  Our journey concludes with a leisurely stroll through Palermo, renowned for its expansive parks, rose gardens, and tranquil lakes—a favorite spot for locals to engage in sports and leisurely walks.  Finally, we arrive in Recoleta, a fashionable district boasting South America’s most opulent cemetery, the final resting place of Eva Perón.  Overnight at Alvear Icon Hotel.

Day 2 | Buenos Aires, Tigre and Delta Navigation and biking tour

At 9:30 a.m. depart on a morning journey to San Fernando port, a one-hour drive from Buenos Aires, where we will board our private boat “Afrodita.” Just 30 kilometers north of the city lies the extraordinary ecological area of the Paraná River delta, a sprawling network of over 5,000 islands. While exploring this tropical district, we’ll come across rowing clubs, restaurants, and cafés that were once popular gathering spots for the local elite. Enjoy lunch aboard the boat, and for those seeking additional adventure, kayaks can be added for a closer exploration of the river.  Later, embark on a leisurely bike tour through the vibrant green spaces of Buenos Aires. Cruise along tree-lined paths, admire stunning gardens, and discover hidden gems in the city’s parks. Our comfortable beach cruisers are equipped with all the essentials, including helmets, baskets, and bells. Stay refreshed with water and enjoy the local tradition of yerba mate. We’ll guide you through iconic parks like Bosques de Palermo, Rosedal, Francia Square, and the Botanical Garden, offering insights into their history and cultural significance.  Overnight at Alvear Icon Hotel.

Day 3 | Buenos Aires-Bariloche

In the morning, you will be transferred to Aeroparque (domestic airport) to catch your flight to Bariloche. Upon arrival, you will be transferred South to Estancia Peuma-Hue, meaning “Place of Dreams” in the native Mapuche language. Nestled in North Patagonia within the Nahuel Huapi National Park, Peuma-Hue is conveniently situated just 35 minutes from the Bariloche International Airport. Embraced by the majestic South Catedral Mountain and spanning 2 miles of lakeshore, Peuma-Hue offers a comprehensive experience within its grounds, ensuring seamless access to a wealth of activities without requiring additional transportation.   Peuma-Hue seamlessly blends the awe-inspiring beauty of the National Park, a profound connection with nature, luxurious accommodations, the comfort of home in their houses and log cabins, a wide array of outdoor pursuits, and delectable homemade organic meals.  Overnight stay at Peuma Hue.

Day 4 and 5 | Bariloche

Embark on an exhilarating adventure program filled with a variety of activities to immerse yourself in the breathtaking landscapes of Bariloche.  Whether it’s horseback riding, kayaking, stand-up paddle boarding, hiking, conscious walks, yoga in nature, meditation, or unwinding in the sauna. Each day promises invigorating experiences.  Children can immerse themselves in the wonders of nature, learning and exploring in a safe and nurturing environment. In the evenings, travelers can unwind and rejuvenate in the serene atmosphere of Peuma Hue, enveloped by the pristine beauty of the Nahuel Huapi National Park.  Overnight at Peuma Hue.

Day 6 | Bariloche-Buenos Aires-Puerto Iguazu

Your adventure continues as the lodge staff accompanies you to Bariloche airport, where you’ll board a flight to Iguazú via Buenos Aires. Upon arrival, you’ll be transferred to the luxurious Meliá Iguazú hotel.  Upon reaching Meliá Iguazú, settle into your deluxe falls view room and take in the awe-inspiring vistas of the majestic Iguazú Falls right from the comfort of your accommodation. Marvel at the thundering cascades and lush greenery surrounding the falls, creating a mesmerizing backdrop for your stay.  In the afternoon, take advantage of the hotel’s prime location within the Iguazú National Park to explore the nearby trails and viewpoints, offering unparalleled panoramas of the falls from different vantage points. Alternatively, relax and unwind by the poolside, savoring the tranquility of your surroundings as you soak in the region’s natural beauty.  Overnight at Meliá Iguazú hotel.

Day 7 | Iguazu Falls

Wake up to the soothing sounds of nature and a sumptuous breakfast to kickstart your day of exploration.  Explore the Argentine side of the falls on a full-day excursion to “Devil’s Gorge” and surrounding areas abundant with wildlife such as plush-crested jays, reddish-bellied parakeets, toucans, and coatis.  Upper Path: Take a leisurely 500-meter walk (45 minutes) offering panoramic views of iconic waterfalls including the Two Sisters, Bosseti, Adam and Eve, Bernabe Mendez, Mbiguá, and San Martín.  Lower Path: Embark on a 1,300-meter walk (1 hour and 30 minutes) to gain a different perspective of the falls from above.  Devil’s Throat: Board a scenic train for a 4-kilometer journey to the Devil’s Throat Station, followed by a walkway to the balcony of Devil’s Throat—an awe-inspiring, U-shaped cataract towering 82 meters high and 150 meters wide, marking the Argentina-Brazil border.   Later embark on the Great Adventure, a thrilling 2-hour excursion inside Iguazú National Park aboard specialized trucks. Venture 6 kilometers (3.75 miles) into the humid subtropical forest along the banks of the Iguazú River.  Upon reaching the shore, board Zodiac boats for an exhilarating ride, experiencing direct contact with the mighty Iguazu Falls. Traverse one mile of rapids, journeying into Devil’s Throat canyon for an up-close encounter with the falls, culminating the adventure in front of San Martin Island.  After the thrilling ride, return to shore and follow catwalks back to your vehicle.  Overnight at Meliá Iguazú Hotel.

Day 8 | Puerto Iguazu-Buenos Aires

Begin your day with a hearty breakfast and a transfer to the airport for the 2-hour flight to Buenos Aires Aeroparque airport.  Upon arrival, you will be greeted by your guide and transferred to your hotel.  Overnight stay at Alvear Icon Hotel.

Day 9 | Buenos Aires-Departure

Enjoy a late check-out from the hotel before embarking on a guided visit to the renowned Colón Theatre, a cultural gem of Buenos Aires. The Colón Theatre, celebrated for its exceptional acoustics and architectural grandeur, stands as one of the world’s finest concert venues. Declared a National Historical Monument in 1989, the theatre boasts a rich history dating back to its inauguration in 1908 with Giuseppe Verdi’s opera Aida.  Later proceed to La Boca to explore Colon Fabrica. Here, indulge in a private backstage tour (available Mondays to Thursdays) to witness the intricate workings behind the scenes of ballet and opera productions. Marvel at the intricacies of the scenery, costumes, wigs, and special effects.  Savor a delightful lunch at a local restaurant before concluding your Buenos Aires adventure with a transfer to Ezeiza International Airport for your return flight home. Depart with cherished memories of your time exploring the vibrant culture and captivating sights of Buenos Aires.  Late check out included.
